Macron says France could recognise a Palestinian state 'in June'

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that France could recognise a Palestinian state at an upcoming UN conference, adding that in turn some countries in the Middle East could recognise the state of Israel. The Palestinian Authority welcomed “a step in the right direction”.
