Ethiopian runner Bedatu Hirpa claimed a close victory at the women’s Paris Marathon on Sunday by overtaking her compatriot Dera Dida near the finish line. Kenyan Bernard Biwott won the men’s event by a wide margin, dropping his rivals with 10 kilometres still to go.
